Hazel Lynette Love
February 08, 1972 - July 23, 2016

On February 8, 1972, the Lord delivered a beautiful gift of life to Espanola and Sie Love, Jr., in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They named her Hazel Lynette.

She attended Haskell Public Schools, where she graduated High School with the Class of 1990. While at Haskell High, she was an active basketball player. Hazel continued her education at Connors State College in Warner, Oklahoma.

Soon thereafter, she met and married Bronze Harrison. God graced this union for 19 years with six beautiful children.

Hazel became employed at Jess Dunn Correctional Facility, where she loved her occupation so much, she was encouraged to continue her journey in law enforcement. She completed her CLEET training and became the first black female deputy sheriff for Muskogee County and was also supervisor over court security.

Hazel was a loving and giving person who never met a stranger. She loved spending time with her children, other family and friends. The family always looked forward to her week-end Bar-B-Ques and seeing what she had found on her latest shopping spree.

As a young adult, Hazel gave her life to Christ and was baptized along with her first born child, Myla by Pastor Curtis Leland and wife, First Lady Sherry Leland.

In her 44th year of life, Hazel Lynette Love surrendered her soul to Jesus on Saturday, July 23, 2016 from Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Hazel leaves to cherish her loving memory; six children, Myla, Skyler, Bronze Jr., Kaylyn, Brice and Briley, all of the home in Haskell, Oklahoma; her devoted mother, Espanola Love, Haskell, Oklahoma; her companion, Anthony Foster; three sisters, Sherl Barnes and Marsha Jackson, both of Haskell, Oklahoma and Stephanie Love "her best friend", Tahlequah, Oklahoma; her brother, Eric Love [LaTonya], Haskell, Oklahoma; her aunt, Tonya Kimble, Haskell, Oklahoma; two uncles, Alvin Grant, New York City, and Bruce Raglin [Cheryl], Tulsa, Oklahoma; her cousins, Andre Kimble, Haskell, Oklahoma, RaShawna Fields [Dee], Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Bonnie McDaniel, Summit, Oklahoma, Danny Byington [Evelyn], Taft, Oklahoma, and Hyatt Washington, Okmulgee, Oklahoma; along with a caravan of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Hour of Remembrance for Hazel will commence on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church of Haskell.
