Passed away Sunday afternoon at the Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Midland after a brief illness at the age of 84 years. Sue was born March 10, 1932 in Saginaw, MI to the late Clifton and Lois (Orr) Reavey. She has lived in this area all of her life.

Sue taught the fifth grade for over 30 years, all in the Freeland Public School System. She enjoyed doing cross-stitch needlework, making Afghans and doing needlepoint when she was younger. Sue was an avid reader, collected Danbury Mint Christmas Ornaments and she loved her cats. Sue’s greatest joy, was spending time with family, especially the grandchildren.

On February 9, 1952, Sue married Donald J. “Jack” McLaughlin, he predeceased her on July 31, 2011. Sue is survived by her sons; Gary (Ann) McLaughlin of Freeland and Michael (Cynthia) McLaughlin of Freeland. Five grandchildren; Jennifer (Steve) Hoyer, Anthony (Mary) McLaughlin, Heather Warzecha, Stephanie (Steve) Eyster, Lindsay McLaughlin, eleven great-grandchildren, and sister Ann (Arthur) Dittenber of Hope, MI also survive Sue.

Funeral and committal services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday August 5, 2016 at the Freeland United Methodist Church. Rev. Beth Librande will officiate. Burial will follow in LaPorte Cemetery.
