Lois Franke Helfrich died on Wednesday, December 9, 1998 in New Orleans, LA where she was born and lived her entire life. She loved the Lord and all His children. As a lifelong member of First English Lutheran Church, she also loved her church. Lois Helfrich is preceded in death by her parents; Rev. George C. Franke a former pastor of First English and Katie Franke and her husband, Rev. Louis J. Helfrich, also a former pastor of First English Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Lois H. Hellmers, Sr.; son-in-law, Donald J. Hellmers, Sr.; son, George Franke Helfrich; daughter-in-law, Patricia Ann Helfrich; grandchildren, Donald J. Hellmers, Jr., Darlene H. Percy, Marlene Kleinschmidt, David G. Helfrich, Heidi A. Helfrich and Holly K. Helfrich; great-grandchildren, Taryn P. Terrell, Melanie M. Hellmers, Katie Percy, Brian D. Hellmers, Kevin A. Hellmers, Rhett L. Kleinschmidt, Brian Buck, Morgan L. Kleinschmidt and Taylor D. Hellmers and great-great-grandchildren, Katelyn J. Terrell.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at First English Lutheran Church, 1228 Arts St. on Tuesday, December 15, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be in the Church, Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Vincent de Paul No. 1 cemetery.
Instead of usual remembrances, Contributions to First English Lutheran Church, or Lutheran Hour Ministry, 2185 Hampton Ave., St. Louis, MO 63139 preferred by the family.
