Anita (Mullinax) Strong Lawson

Funeral services for Anita Strong Lawson, age 59, of Fayetteville, will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Lawson passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016.

Mrs. Lawson was a native of Lincoln County, the daughter of the late J.L. and Ruby Mullinax, the Vice President and loan officer at First National Bank for over 40 years. She was the past President of Main Street, active with the Humane Society, St. Jude Childrens Hospital, First National Bank’s Student Advisory Board, the Heart Walk, the Leadership Lincoln and a member of the Historical Society.

Survivors include her husband Micky Lawson, daughter Camille Strong Raby and husband Bryan of Fayetteville, grandson Hamilton Bennett Raby of Fayetteville, three sisters Mary Ann Gattis of the Howell community, Lori Jobe of the Howell community, Beth Porter of the Howell community and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Higgins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Fayetteville/Lincoln County Humane Society or the St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
