"Miss Jacqueline A. Carrier of 77 Orange Street, Hartford, was born October 29, 1939 in Hartford, daughter of Rolande (DuHamel) and Canadian-born Jean B. Carrier. She was found dead at the circus grounds after the fire on July 6, and was buried at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield after services at the Fisette Funeral Home. Miss Carrier attended the circus with her aunt Miss Alice DuHamel, who was also a victim of the fire. Jacqueline is survived by her parents, her paternal grandparents Annie (Corbin) and Alcide Carrier, and her maternal grandmother Mrs. Eva DuHamel, all of Hartford. Body #1532 was identified as Jacqueline Carrier at the State Armory on July 6 by a relative. Miss Carrier's estate was awarded $6,500 by the arbitration board."
