Viola Schultz Weiss, age 96, passed away on August 6, 2021 in Brenham, Texas.
Visitation will be Monday, August 9, 2021 from 5p.m. to 7p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with a service at 10a.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Zionsville Lutheran Church with the burial following at the church cemetery.
Daughter to Henry Beckermann and Lilly Hodde Beckermann, she was born on July 18, 1925 in Mill Creek, Texas. She was baptized on November 15, 1925 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church by Reverend Carl Zieke in Greenvine.
She was a member of Zionsville Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Berlin-Mill Creek-Zionsville VFD Auxiliary and the Home Demonstration Club in Rutersville, Texas.
Viola is survived by daughter and son-in-law Vickie and Jim Garner, and her stepdaughter Jane Luther and family; sister-in-law, Joann Beckermann; sisters, Ruth Lorenz-Ganske and Elvera Drews; great-grandchild, Dyllin Harrison; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lilly Beckermann; husbands, Walldon Schultz and Herman Weiss Jr.; brothers, Fred Beckermann and Dennis Beckermann; grandson, Luke Harrison; stepson-in-law, Jim Luther; and special friend, Dennis Rudloff.
Pallbearers are Lloyd Beckermann, Roy Beckermann, Arthur Daniel, Henry (Hank) Beckermann, Paul Cmajdalka, James Schulz, Johnnie Kmiec and Dyllin Harrison. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Garner, Kirk Luther and Donald Beckermann.
