Philip H. Barshinger of Dallastown died at 12:35 p.m. Sept. 24 at his residence. He was 84.
Mr. Barshinger retired from York Casket Co.
He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and the Men's Sunday School class.
Born in Dallastown March 16, 1917, he was a son of the late Orin L. and Florence Schmuck Barshinger.
He leaves his wife of 61 years, Clara L. Mellinger Barshinger; two daughters, Martha Kaplan and Suzanne Mease, both of York; two sons, Baron Barshinger of Dallastown and Blaine Barshinger of York; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Pauline Robinson of York; and a brother, Richard Baer of Dallastown.
Two daughters, Mary A. Barshinger and Ellen L. Barshinger, and two sons, Philip Barshinger and John Barshinger, are deceased.
Viewing is 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 109 E. Main St., Dallastown. The service is at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Roger Mentzer, the Rev. Lewis Crouse and the Rev. Edward Rettew officiating.
Burial is in Dallastown Union Cemetery.
