Susan Ruth Sinclair, 57, Atchison, Kansas, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, MO.
Susan was born on July 11, 1959 in Leavenworth, Kansas the daughter of John "Gary" and Ruth (Peak) Woodward. She attended schools in Effingham, Kansas, graduating from Atchison County Community High School.
She and Gary Lee Sinclair were united in marriage on July 1, 1979 in Effingham, Kansas.
Susan was a homemaker. She loved her children and grandchildren and would always reach out to help others. She enjoyed card games, Facebook, reading scriptures in the Bible, flowers, music and rescuing animals in need.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years; Gary Sinclair, Atchison, KS, one son; Christopher Sinclair, Roeland Park, KS, two daughters; Miranda (Jeremy) Tull, Atchison, KS, Melissa (Joseph) Roberson, Topeka, KS, her step-mother; Pauline Woodward, Marion, IA, four brothers; John (Julie) Woodward, Emporia, KS, Mike Woodward, Green Cove Springs, FL, David (Sharon) Woodward, Hesston, KS, Joshua (Gillette) Woodward, Desoto, KS, six grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and an abundance of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister; Mary Woodward.
Memorial services will be Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 4:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Strickland officiating. A reception and visitation with the family will follow the services at 5:00 PM at Warnock Lake in Atchison. Memorial contributions are suggested to assist with funeral expenses and may be left in care of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with whom the final arrangements have been entrusted.
