STONEVILLE Lula Martin Scott, age 96 formerly of Stoneville, passed away on Saturday July 23, 2016 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1 till 2. Following the burial the family requests family and friends to return to the Morehead-Fair House next to Fair Funeral Home for light refreshments.Mrs. Scott was born November 22, 1919 in Rockingham County to the late Avery and Nellie Hatcher Martin. She was a member of Hampton Heights Baptist Church and was retired from Mar-Gre Motel as a receptionist.Surviving are sons, Billy D. Evans, Sr. and wife Lee Ann of Stoneville and Larry Evans and wife Sherry of Oak Ridge; daughter, Faye Wall of Madison; grandchildren, Lori Armstrong and husband James, Dean Evans and Carrie Lee Evans all of Stoneville, Nick Dasnoit of Oak Ridge; great grandchildren, Boone, Kate, Ethan, Ruby and Ari; sisters, Hazel Jones and husband Bill of Winston Salem and Gaynelle Vernon of Summerville; brothers, Tony Martin and wife Mary Ruth of Eden and Alton Martin and wife Eloise of Stoneville.She was predeceased by one brother, Junior Martin.Contributions may be offered to Hospice of Rockingham County, Po Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.Online condolences to www.fairfuneralhome.com.
