She was retired from VA Medical Center, after 30 years of service, and a former member of Clifton Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and writing poetry. Ms. Russ never married and had no children, but she enjoyed visiting her brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews from Florida to California.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Leland Russ and Gordon Russ.
She is survived by her four brothers, two sisters, and loving nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd., with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Thursday until time of the service at Highland's.
