Eugene Norris, age 85, of Lenoir City, passed away Thursday morning, October 19, 2006 at his home. Eugene was a World War II Vet, serving in Engineering with the U. S. Army.
He retired from the Department of Justice Civil Service.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Laura Norris; brothers, Scott, Hasson and Bob Norris; sister, Ila Mae (Norris) Glass.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lucille (Purdy) Norris; sister, Theda Norris; brother, Bill Norris and wife, Mildred all of Lenoir City; sisters-in-law, Polly Norris of Winter Springs, FL, Martha Norris and Joy Norris both of Lenoir City; nephew, David Glass of Cleveland; niece, Deborah Warner of DeBary FL; great nephew, Keith Glass; great niece, Shawn Ballew; special friend, William Stafford; special care givers, Margaret Tucker and Janice Fine.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Everett officiating. Family and friends will gather at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services.
Full military honors will be conferred by VFW Post 5150 and American Legion Post, 120, 70 and 256. Click Funeral Home, 109 Walnut Street, Lenoir City is serving the family of Eugene Norris.
