Wife of Hasson Norris; Daughter of Lewis and Margie (Gagely) Vinson.

Joy Lynn Norris, 82, of Lenoir City, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015.

She was of the Baptist faith. Joy worked all her life to provide for her family. She worked her early years at the food counter at Goodwin Drug Store and later at Harrisons Chicken Plant. Joy retired from Maremont with 30 years of service, while also being a caregiver for her mother and her husband until their passing.

She rejoices with the Lord and rejoins her beloved family, including husband, Hasson Norris; brothers, Robert H. Vinson, George Vinson, Jack Vinson and J.B. Vinson; sister, Dorothy Vinson Johnson; parents, Lewis and Margie Vinson; and son-in-law, George Pierce.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Pierce; granddaughters, Crystal Savage, Ashley Bailey and husband, Ricky; great-granddaughter, Dakota Shipley, who was the love of her life with whom she shared a very special bond; brother, Tommy Vinson of Crossville; many nieces and nephews; and wonderful neighbors, the Littlefields, the Bathos and Wilma Hulin.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Robert Montgomery and his nurse, Wendy Smith, for the great care they provided Joy and to the staff and nurses at Parkwest Medical Center.

The family received friends 5-7 p.m. Friday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services followed at 7 p.m., with the Rev. George Seay officiating. Family and friends gathered at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. Saturday and proceeded to Lakeview Cemetery for 11 a.m. graveside services.
