She appeared in the movie "The Ladies Man" with Jerry Lewis and also recorded songs "I Want You To Be My Baby" which sold more than a million copies in 1955, "Eddie My Love" and "The Teens in Jeans from New Orleans."
She was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
