VIRGINIA BEACH - Kenneth Alvin "Kenny'l" Dove Sr. passed away at his home November 5, 2002. Mr. Dove was born September 30, 1932 to the late Benjamin A. and Quinte M. Breeden Dove of Arlington, Va. Kenny graduated from Falls Church High School and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in May of 1961. He retired from the Virginia Beach school system.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Peggy A. Dove; three sons, Kenneth A. Dove Jr., Jason A. Castle and wife, Ambir of Knotts Island, N.C., and James D. Castle of Barboursville, Va.; two daughters, Dorothy Prechtl of St. Mary's, Pa., and Debra Pritchett and husband, Bruce of Ruckersville, Va.; grandchildren, Bruce Pritchett Jr. and wife, Theresa, Tanya Pritchett, Wendy Pritchett, Peggy Pritchett, Jaime Castle, Amanda Castle and Wyatt Castle; a great-grandson, Damian Pritchett; and a brother, Leonard A. Dove of Ruckersville, Va.

Kenny's family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Crematory. The funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home and Crematory with the Rev. William Earl Stanley officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
