Connie S. Thornton, 50, of Kingston died Feb. 21, 2003, of breast cancer at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Sept. 17, 1952, in Springfield, Ill., to Donald G. and Donna (Sweet) Barden. She attended Springfield High School and graduated in 1973.
She married Thomas E. Thornton on Aug. 27, 1983, in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Mrs. Thornton enjoyed interior decorating and floral arranging. She was a member of Bayside Community Church of Kingston and Kingston Community Bible Study.
Survivors include her husband; her mother, Donna L. Barden of El Reno, Okla; four sons, Jason Roe of Temple Terrace, Fla., Donald Thornton of Silverdale and Ian Roe and Jacob Thornton of Kingston; two daughters, Leslie (Thornton) Burns and Kimberly Thornton of Poulsbo; five brothers, Gary Barden of Florida, Greg Barden of Weatherford, Texas, David Barden of San Diego, Calif., Steve Barden of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Keith Barden of Springfield, Ill.; two sisters, Nancy (Barden) Cash of Yukon, Okla., and Cherie Barden of Richardson, Texas; and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Thornton was preceded in death by her father, Donald G. Barden.
