KENNEDY, Katherine age 89, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 15, 2014. Born July 18, 1924 in Lowndes County, Alabama to the late Lizzie (Mock) Robinson and James Pelman. She was a faithful member of Mt. Enon M.B. Church and of the Eastern Stars Angels of Mercy Chapter. Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James Kennedy Sr.; brother, Dave Robinson; sisters, Adelle Lee and Hessie Robinson; special cousin, Mary Scott; sister-in-law, Thelma Long. She leaves to cherish her memories her sons, James (Donna), Johnny, Willie and Ivory Sr. (Marjorie) Kennedy; daughter, Alease Kennedy; brothers, John Long and A. C. Robinson; sisters, Hazel Blake and Rose Campbell; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, February 21, 2014 at Mt. Enon M.B. Church, 1501 W. Third Street. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. Visitation from 9 to 11 am.
