Anna Maria (Bradley) Dicks was born on June 4, 1856 in Indiana, the daughter of James H Bradley (1810–1887) and his wife Anna Maria (Reid) Bradley (1822–1859).

She was married on September 1, 1880 in La Porte County, Indiana to Dr James Turner Dicks (1853-1937), and he was the son of Elijah J Dicks (1827–1891) and Ruth Caroline (Butterworth) Dicks (1827–1917). James was a homeopathic physician and surgeon.

Living at 903 Russell Street, Nashville, Anna was 78 years old and married when she died at home of chronic myocarditis on June 27, 1934. Burial was the next day in Woodlawn Cemetery.
