Hazel M. Leffelman, 74, of Kingston died Friday, July 22, 2016 at her daughter's home in Kirkland, surrounded by her loving family.


She was born September 17, 1941 in Centerville, Ark. to Ray and Theo (Hillard) Underwood. She married Gordon W. Leffelman on June 2, 1962 in Genoa.


Hazel worked in the cafeteria at GTE in Genoa and later for General Electric in DeKalb, retiring in 1997 after 25 years of service. She and her husband were the owners of Gordie's Place in Kingston for over 23 years, where she cooked many delicious meals and helped with the daily business. Hazel was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Kingston United Methodist Church, where she helped prepare many Church dinners. She was a volunteer at the Friendship Center and loved to read books.


Survivors include her husband, Gordon; 3 children, William (Denise) Leffelman; Judy (Barrie) Greenwell and Peggy (Johnny) Heath; 10 grandchildren, Jacob, Bobbie (Matt), Janice (Ron), Jazmin (Justin), Killian (Morgan), Paige (Myles), Kristen, Danielle (Grant), Andrew and Joshua; 6 great grandchildren, Ivy, Kyzer, Reaghan, McKenlee, Trevon and Ava; one brother, Geren (Iva) Underwood; 2 sisters, Patsy Tate and Betty Sue Rose; and several nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters; 3 brothers; one niece and 2 nephews.


Her Visitation will be on Saturday, July 30 from 10:30 AM- 12:30 PM at the Kingston United Methodist Church, 121 W. First St., Kingston. Her Funeral Service will begin at 12:30 PM, with Rev. Jackie Wills officiating. Burial will be at the Kingston Cemetery.
