Shawn Dewain Bishop, 48, of Douglasville died July 16, 2016.

He was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on May 22, 1968, the son of Travis Bishop, Jr. and Kathleen Anne Kruse Bishop. He moved from Colorado to this area about eight years ago and was the owner and operator of Seven Seas Aquatics. He also worked with Domino's Pizza.

He was preceded in death by his father, Travis Bishop, Jr. and his mother, Kathleen Bishop Pericas.

Survivors include his sister, Sheri Estes and her husband, Kevin, of Douglasville; a half-brother, Jason Bishop; two step-brothers, John Pericas and his wife, Val and Rick Pericas; one step-sister, Linda Burke and her husband, Steve; and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. from the Concord United Methodist Church in the Hickory Level community.


J. Hoyt Thomas Funeral Home of Villa Rica is in charge of arrangements.


Last communication with his family was July 4, that he had run out of gas. His body was found in a truck at an abandoned house on Pope Road sent to crime lab.
