Frederick Vance Perry, 71, Batesville, Ind., died Thursday, March 29, 1990 in the Christ Hospital, Cincinnati. He had been ill several years.

He was born Dec. 15, 1918 in Brownstown, Ind., the son of Walter and Nellie Hill Perry. He was a member of the Berean Baptist Church, Batesville, Ind. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, and retired in 1986 from employment with Hillenbrand Industries. During the 1950's he sang on television and radio with the "Gospel Air Group."

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Powell Perry; two sons, Frederick Perry Jr., Brownstown, Ind., and Phil Perry, Garland, Texas; four daughters, Paula Harrell, Franklin, Ohio, Peggy Neal and Carol Fee, both of Brownstown, Ind., and Linda Gibson, Batesville, Ind.; two sisters, Margaret Schleter, Brownstown, Ind., and Eleanor Baker, Kansas City, Mo.; and 15 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Delores Pedicord Perry; and two brothers, Tommy and Walter Perry.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, Ind., with the pastor Doug Banford officiating.

Burial will be in the Batesville, Ind., United Methodist Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Any memorials may go to the Berea Baptist Church or to Rescue 10.
