Jennings: A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church for Thomas “Tom” Glynn Regan, 74 of Jennings, LA on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday July 19th from 4:30 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary recited at 6:00 PM. Tom will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery with Father Charles McMillin officiating. Carrying Tom to his final resting place in the Calvary Cemetery will be Kevin Regan, Glynn Regan, Keith M. Comeaux, Mark Regan, Myles Regan, and Lonnie Regan.

Tom was born in Crowley, LA on March 4, 1942 to Michael Joseph Regan and Mertrice LeJeune Regan. Tom was called to his Heavenly Father on July 17, 2016. He grew up in Evangeline, LA. Tom attended Catholic school throughout his entire upbringing and graduated from St. Francis High. Upon graduating Tom immediately went to work, in 2007 he retired from Pride International after working in the oil industry for 43 years. Tom was a very talented musician, who was part of many bands and groups, and 1967 he joined, The Cajun Aces and for 8 years he was their drummer, as well as a singer. Two of his most famous songs that he recorded singing and playing the drums, were “Louise” and “What’s her Name”. Tom was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Lois Regan of Jennings, LA; four sons, Thomas “Tommy” Regan of Kinder, LA, Kevin A. Regan (Renette) of Houma, LA, Gregory P. Regan Of Jennings, LA, Glynn T. Regan, of Jennings, LA; three daughters, Charmaine Dupont (Craig) of Welsh, LA Danette Gage of TX, Angie Comeaux (Keith) of Jennings, LA; one brother, Michael Regan (Liz) of Egan, LA three sisters, Donna Dae Leger (Dan) of Jennings, LA, Karen Regan of Jennings, LA, Christine Regan of Lake Charles, LA; twenty grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Michael Joseph Regan and Mertrice LeJeune Regan; one daughter, Becky Bonvillion; two brothers, J.W. Regan and Ronald Regan; one sister, Mickey Spires.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Matthews & Son Funeral Home.
