ARNOLD, Aaron P., (Ed), 86, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2003. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Midland Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Nettie Spencer Arnold. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Anita Benois Arnold; three daughters, Sandra A. VanNess, Rebecca A. Nichols and Sherry A. Nemeth and husband, David, all of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Donald Bruce Collins, Lori V. Gilkeson and husband, Scott, Paula Draheim and husband, Anthony; three great-grandchildren, Clayton and Mackenzie Gilkeson, Nicholas Draheim; a sister, Garnet Lane of Pleasant Garden, N.C. Funeral services will be at Oakey's North Chapel, 11 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2003, with Rev. Juan Barr and Rev. Ed H. Nicholson officiating. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's North Chapel (362-1237).
