He was a native of Greenville County, son of the late Henry R. and Eula Bagwell Davis. He was employed by Laurens Glass, Inc., 20 years and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Garie Mae Hughes Davis; a daughter, Miss Mary Davis of the home; a son, Gary Davis of the home; five brothers, Jarvis A., Robert, Lawrence, Raymond and Louie Davis of Laurens; and two sisters, Mrs. [Mary] Gary Gibbs of Laurens and Mrs. [Alma] W.E. Reid of Fountain Inn.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11am at Kennedy Mortuary by Dr. Robert S. Cooper. Burial will be in the Chestnut Ridge Cemetery.
