Teresa Carol Duke Howard, 56, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 at her daughter's residence. She was born in Leitchfield, Ky. on August 21, 1959 to the late Larn and Edna Cockrell Duke. Teresa was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. She loved to read, visiting with her grandchildren, writing poetry and taking care of her flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, D. C., Dewey and Kenny Duke; four sisters, Hazel Duke, Evon Henderson, Ruth Bratcher and Virginia Ingram. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Lafe Howard of Morgantown; daughter, Pam Carmack (Vince) of Morgantown; son, Jeremiah Howard (fiance' Ashley) of Beaver Dam; seven grandchildren, Kayla Graham (Bradley), Michael Cortez both of Morgantown, Alexis and Journey Howard both of Madisonville, Evan Cleaveland, Gibson Felty and Elliott Howard all of Beaver Dam; two great grandchildren, Bryson and Ember Graham of Morgantown; brother, Randell Duke of Roundhill and two sisters, Brenda Lawrence of Louisville and Vickie Henderson (Jerry) of Morgantown. Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home in Morgantown on Saturday, July 23 at 2 pm with Bro. Raleigh Blancett officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
