Author, Journalist. He was born in Barcelona, Catalunya, Spain. He began his work as journalist in the magazines "Los Miserables" and "Un Enemic del Poble." Later, Salvat began his career as a poet, becoming one of the most respected writers of his time, and a representative of the futurism style. His work is notable for its nonconformity, idealism and the foreboding of a premature death. He is remembered for his books "Humo de Fábrica," "Poemes de Ondes Hertzianes" (Poems in Herzian Waves), "L'Irradiador del Port i les Gavines," "Les Conspiracions," "El Poema de la Rosa als Llavis" (The Poem of the Rose at the Lips) and "Óssa Menor." His poetic work has been made available to a wide public, in particular through musical arrangements and recitals by Lluís Llach, Ovidi Montllor, Guillermina Motta and Joan Manuel Serrat, among many others. He died in his hometown.
