Lillie Bell Scott of Ooltewah, TN, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016.
She was a faithful wife to her husband, Lynn for 53 years and a devoted and loving mother to her only son, Robin. A long time, faithful member of Ooltewah Baptist Church, Lillie taught four year olds the simple stories of the Bible and missions around the world. Lillie was also an artist who worked cross stitch, ceramics, and folk art which she shared with friends and family throughout the years.
Lillie was preceded in death by Elbert and Ethel Lowery (parents), Hewett Lowery (brother), Christine Nelson (sister), Louise McWhorter (sister), and Lynn Scott (husband).
She is survived by Robin and Ramona Scott (son and daughter-in-law), Andrew and Rebekah Scott (twin grandchildren), Orville and Ruby Lowery (brother and sister-in-law), Virgil and Pat Bishop (special nephew and wife), and other nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank family and friends who helped with caring for Lillie especially through this past year.
Receiving of friends will be held Tuesday, July 19 from 5:30 to 7 PM at Ooltewah Baptist Church with services immediately following at 7 p.m.. Interment will be Wednesday, July 20 at 1:30 PM at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Lillie was a loving and devoted friend to all, especially her "little friends". In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the preschool and children's ministry programs of Ooltewah Baptist Church.
Arrangements are by the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
