GLENNYS L. ROOP (5-16-1985) Glennys L. Roop, 68, 333 N. 16th St., a retired North Adams school teacher, died at 4:02 a.m. today in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, following an extended illness.
She was an elementary teacher at Lincoln and Northwest schools, retiring in 1980 after 42 years of service. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Wesleyan Society, Shakespeare Club, Walkie-Talkies organization, Retired Teachers Association, Indiana Teachers Association, and the National Education Association.
Born in Adams County on Sept. 10, 1916, she was the daughter of Daniel O. and Goldie A. Miller-Roop. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Helen Inniger, route 1 Monroe, and two nephews, John and Don Inniger, both of route 1 Monroe. Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Winteregg-Linn and Haggard Funeral Home, Rev. Philip Hillsamer officiating. Burial will be in the Willshire Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until time of services. Preferred memorials are to the church.
