Linda C. Owen, age 68, of Wabasha, died Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Hospital-St. Marys Campus in Rochester. She was born May 5, 1948 in Duluth, the daughter of Howard and Opal (Johnson) Anderson. Linda worked 30 years for Northwestern Bell Telephone and Quest now CenturyLink in Maple Grove, MN, her last position was staff manager. She married Dale Owen December 16, 1995 in Maple Grove. Dale died June 19, 2015.
She was a former member of the Rochester Whitlock-Sonnenberg VFW Post #1215 Auxiliary where she was active with the annual sales of poppies. She was also a Junior Achievement advisor in Rochester.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, her parents, Howard and Opal Anderson, and her two brothers, Gordon and Howard Anderson. She is survived by her many friends.
An interment service will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 1:30pm at Riverview Cemetery in Wabasha with the Reverend David Knox officiating. A celebration of Linda’s life will take place at the Pioneer Club, 14026 657th St. in rural Wabasha immediately following the service at the cemetery.
