CATHERINE SAMZ (d. 1965)

Mrs. John Samz, 70, Mishicot, died unexpectedly at home Friday evening.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Catholic Church,
Mishicot. The Rev. George Beth, the Rev. Michael Koch and the Rev. Anthony
Betley will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Mrs. Samz, nee Catherine Funk, was born Aug. 11, 1895, at Two Rivers,
daughter of Chris and Catherine Jacquette Funk. She was married to John
Samz, Nov. 22, 1916, at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers.
The couple had farmed for 38 years in the Town of Mishicot before moving
into the community 11 years ago. For the past 10 years, Mrs. Samz has
worked with her husband who served as janitor at Holy Cross Catholic
Church.
Mrs. Samz was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and of the Altar Society.
Mrs. Samz leaves her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Ray (Mary Ann) Rahmlow, of
Rt. 1, Mishicot; and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call Sunday at Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot. The Altar Society
will recite the Rosary at 7:15 p.m. Sunday with the parish Rosary at 8 p.m.
