Milton Wayne Walker (Wayne) of Houston, formerly of Big Spring, passed into the next life on July 20, 2016 surrounded by family. Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23rd at Myers & Smith Chapel with Dr. William Welsh officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery.
Wayne was born in Howard County on December 22,1937 to Alex Walker, Jr. and Frances Thomison Walker. He graduated from Coahoma High School in 1956. He lived most of his life in Big Spring, TX. He worked in the oil industry, account collections and as a jeweler. He was well known in West Texas as a hip pocket trader with an immense knowledge of coins.
He is survived by son: Wayne Walker of Houston; daughter: MaLinda Scheirman of Houston; daughter: Shayna Acuff of San Angelo; daughter: Jennifer Bell of Childress; stepson: Danny Gambol of Midland; sister: Linda Merritt of Kennett, MO; grandsons: Patrick Bell, Timothy Bell, Jack Waddell, Parker Gambol; granddaughters: Molly Waddell, Addison Elliott, Priscilla Hernandez, Hunter Gambol and Jentry Foley; Nephews: Nathan Sparks and Rob Sparks; nieces: Charlene Land and Chanda Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Francene Minchew; son-in-law: Mike Bell; son-in-law: Jeremy Acuff; brother-in-law: Mike Merritt.
