Miriam K. Blank, 55, of 332 E. Main St., New Holland, died Monday afternoon at Lancaster General Hospital after a long illness.

She was an active member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church, New Holland, and taught in the nursery department for 10 years. She was formerly employed by Frank Ix and sons, New Holland. She was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Liberty Fire Company, New Holland.

Born in Upper Leacock Township, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin S. and Lizzie King Kauffman.

Surviving are her husband, Ira L. Blank; two children: Gladys, wife of Paul L. Wise Jr.,
New Holland; and M. Sgt. Ronald I. Blank, U.S. Air Force, Great Falls, Mont.; five grand-
children; and these brothers and sisters: Fannie, wife of Henry Hurst, Ephrata R4; Elsie, wife of Thomas E. Yoder, Allensville; Levi S Kauffman, Narvon RD; Jacob E. Kauffman, East Petersburg; Phares Kauffman,
New Holland R2; and Walter N. Kauffman, New Holland.
