Joann Jacobs age 76, went home to the Lord on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

She was born on February 28, 1940 in Sheboygan to parents Gottlieb and Amalia (Jorsch) Weimann. Joann was united in marriage at Trinity Lutheran Church on September 14, 1957 to Earl “Jake” Jacobs. Joann worked at Wigwam and also as a nursing assistant in the children’s ward at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital. She also spent 34 years as the custodian at Trinity Lutheran Church and School, working side by side with Jake.

Joann enjoyed reading the Bible, working out crossword and jig-saw puzzles and playing scrabble. Most of all she loved spending time with her entire family.

Joann is survived by her children, Michael (special friend, Diane Jones) Jacobs, Sandra (Brian) Blindauer, Mark (Martha) Jacobs, Matthew (Barb) Jacobs; grandchildren, Danielle Blindauer, Nicholas (Rochelle) Blindauer, Kesley Jacobs, Laura (Scott) Heinrich, Alex (David) Matenaer, Brent (Lauren) Jacobs, Libby (Tim) Holte; great-grandchildren, Morgan and Madison Blindauer and Xander Heinrich; sister, Maria Wensauer; brothers, Robert (Nancy) Weimann, Carl Weimann, Wally (Terry) Weimann, Kenny Weimann, Don (June) Weimann, and John (special friend, Sue Jones) Weimann; brother-in-law, George Schneekloth; many nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.

Joann is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lily (Wally) Voss, Wilma (Robert) Fieck, Carol Weimann, Doria (Ralph) Eirich, Helen (Eugene) Panzer, Leona Weimann and Hida Weimann; brothers-in-law, Lyle Wensauer and Clarence Jacobs Jr.; sisters-in-law Lorrain (Gordon) Bigelow, Shirley (Edwin) Saxton, Ione (Robert) Friedreichs and Connie Schneekloth.

A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 824 Wisconsin Ave., Sheboygan on Sunday, July 24 at 5:00 PM with Rev. John Berg presiding. A time of gathering and support will be held at the church from 3:00 PM until the time of service. Private committal at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Trinity Lutheran Church.
