Tina LeAnne McDaniel, 48, a lifetime resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Monday, July 18, 2016. She was born on February 19, 1968 in Muskogee to Phil Trussell and Shelia Mae (Sallee) Trussell.

Tina attended Muskogee Public Schools and graduated from Muskogee High School with the class of 1986. She loved her fellow classmates and always had a big part in planning the class reunions. She furthered her education at Northeastern State University where she earned a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education. She worked as an elementary teacher at Tony Goetz School and retired in 2010 after more than 20 years of service. Tina will always be remembered for her love of teaching and the students.
Tina met and later married her best friend, Travis “Trapper” McDaniel, on November 29, 1997 in Muskogee, OK. They shared more than 25 years of life and marriage together.

She was an amazing cook and loved cooking and baking. She adored her family and loved watching Ashlyn show her pigs and heifers. Tina enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Tina is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, George and Ruby Sallee and her paternal grandparents, Cecil and Anna Belle Trussell; her cousin, Teri Lynn Sallee.

She is survived by her husband, Trapper; her daughter, Ashlyn McDaniel; her mother, Shelia Trussell; her father, Phil Trussell; her sister, Ashley Trussell Henry and her husband, Mike, and their children, Haidyn Henry and Landyn Henry; her brother-in-law, Brian McDaniel and his children, Brianna and Ruby; her sister-in-law, Stacy Ashwood and her husband Matt and their children, Emily, Matthew and Madison; her brother-in-law, Caleb McDaniel; her mother-in-law, Sandy Garner; her father-in-law, Jeff McDaniel; her mother-in-law, Charlotte McDaniel; her uncle, Terry Sallee; and her cousin, Shannon Sallee; numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and other family members.

Funeral services celebrating Tina’s life will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 22, 2016 at New Hope Assembly of God Church with Rev. Monte Humphrey officiating. Interment will follow at Agnew Cemetery.
