Jean A. Horlacher, 82, of Macungie, died March 1, 2014 in Arden Courts of Warminster. She was the widow of Kermit C. Horlacher. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Harold W. and Drusilla M. (Scholl) Adams.

She was an elementary school teacher for the Allentown School District, teaching at Jefferson Elementary School for 40 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Emmaus. Hobbies included travel, arts and crafts, and spending time with her family. Jean was a member of the Emmaus Lioness Club, the Lehigh Valley Couturiere Society, and the Pennsylvania Retired Teachers Association.

Survivors: Sons, Philip C. Horlacher and wife Dorothy of Breinigsville, Keith D. Horlacher and wife Denice of New Hope, and Jamie T. Horlacher and wife Jennifer of Pennsburg; Grandchildren, Austin P. Horlacher and Heather N. Horlacher; 2 Grandpups.

Services: Funeral Services Thurs., March 6, 2014 at 10:30 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park, Whitehall.
