Loretta L. (Liston) Weldon was born April 1, 1917 in Roswell, New Mexico to the late George J. and Lillie (Jones) Liston and entered into rest on July 17, 2016 in Salem, Missouri at the age of 99.
Loretta enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going on walks and dancing.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Loretta is survived by her son, Randy Weldon and wife Kathy of Salem, Missouri; grandchildren, Krista L. Culbertson and husband, Clint of Buckner, Missouri, Aimee Campbell and husband, Josh of Rolla, Missouri; great-grandchildren, KC and Kinlea Culbertson, Mackinnon and Katelyn Campbell; extended family and many friends. In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Herman Weldon; son, Jerry Priest; sisters, Volna Lumbert, Deloise Walker, Georgie Liston.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 21,2016 at the James & Gahr Mortuary in Salem, Missouri. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to services from 4-5 p.m.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the South Park Cemetery in Roswell, New Mexico with Don Gunderson of First United Methodist Church Carlsbad officiating.
