Rayburn Flippo, 90, of Amarillo died Friday, May 5, 2006.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Cornerstone Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Coffman, the Rev. Coy Wiley and the Rev. Anthony Pennington officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Mr. Flippo was born Oct. 26, 1915, to Benjamin and Ina Flippo in Maysville, Okla.

He served with the 18th Engineers during World War II, from 1941 to 1945. He married Dell Anderson on Dec. 24, 1944.

Rayburn worked for Southwestern Drug Co. for 33 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

Rayburn was an avid golfer, shooting his age 123 times. He also enjoyed watching his grandsons play various sporting events.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Danny and wife, Sharon; two grandsons, Dustin of Amarillo and Devin of Plano; two brothers, James and wife, Evon, of Pampa and Graydon and Kathryn of Bakersfield, Calif.; an aunt, Dollie Cruce of Santa Cruz, Calif.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to Cornerstone Baptist Church, 4400 Crockett St., Amarillo, TX 79110.
