Michael was an inspector at quality control at American Air, worked in air conditioning and heating, was a mason in Rock Island, and was a paraprofessional for the Boy Scouts Illowa Council.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War from June 20, 1963 until June 19, 1967.
He was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed building car models, watching old cowboy movies, drinking whiskey and loved woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one half sister, Maylene Carlson
