SMITH, Jr., Mr. Spencer "Smitty" "Paw Paw" Age 91, of Dayton, born November 8, 1924 in Huntsville, AL, departed his earthly life Sunday, December 13, 2015.

Spencer served in the U. S. Army and retired in 1972 from Wright-Patterson AFB. He was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his parents, Spencer Sr. and Mahalia (Jackson) Smith; four sisters, one brother, one daughter and one son. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 60 years, Ethel Rean (Moore) Smith; sons, Donald (Doris) and Ronald (Ann) Grady, Glen (Karen) and Wayne Smith; brother, James Jackson; 13 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be held 12 noon Friday, December 18, 2015 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 3801 Fairbanks Ave. Rev. Gregory Parker officiating. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. Visitation from 9 am-12 pm. Family will receive friends from 11 am-12 pm. Arrangements entrusted to the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N.
