Lee H. Pillers was the son of Henrietta Backus and John E. Pillers.

Lee Pillers, 88, Dies; Once Town Postmaster
Lee H. Pillars, 88, of 306 S. Summit St, Monroeville, died at 2 p.m. yesterday in Van Rue Hospital, Van Wert, Ohio, where he had been a patient 10 days. Born in Poe, he resided in Monroeville most of his life. Mr. Pillers retired in 1934 as postmaster of Monroeville. He was a veteran of the Spanish American War, a member of the Lawton Camp and the Scottish Rite of Fort Wayne, and Monroeville Lodge 293 F. & A.M., and the Methodist Church, Monroeville.
Surviving are his wife, Pearl; a son Thomas B., Monroeville; tow daughters, Mrs. Harley A. Hodle Crestline, Ohio, and Mrs. Ray R. Scott, Franklin; a brother Thomas, Monroeville, five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Marquart Funeral Home, Monroeville after 6 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, Rev. Walter Meacham officiating. Burial will be in Monroeville IOOF Cemetery.
