Juanita June Bell, 88, of Cody, passed away at Spirit Mountain Hospice House on July 13, 2016.

June was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born June 7, 1928, in Kewanee, Ill., to Charles and Elsa Anthony.

June married Sept. 19, 1946, in Reserve, N.M., to Phil Bell.

June was a Cody resident since 1984, and a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church.

She was an accomplished artist, and loved to paint Southwestern scenes. She was not happy being idle, which resulted in so many beautiful items created from her sewing and needlework. She made the best cherry pie this side of heaven. June had a huge, compassionate heart for animals.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, Phil Bell, her children Cindy (George) Ramsey of Frankston, Texas, and Matt (Priscilla) Bell of Cody, grandchildren Brett (Kristie) Ramsey of Omaha, Neb., and Derek (Jamie) Ramsey of Fort Worth, Texas, and great-grandchildren Will and Faith Ramsey of Omaha and another one on the way from Fort Worth.
