Interment Clarmont Memorial Gardens

Patricia Gale Hackworth Miner, 74, wife of Clement Joseph Miner went to meet her Savior on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, after a long illness. She was born on November 30, 1941 in Clark County, Kentucky to the late Henry Thomas and Daisy Mae Hall Hackworth. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and retired from Lexington-Bluegrass Army Depot.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Angie (Marc) Devers of Indianapolis, Shelly Miner, Pam Greer and Jennifer (Chris) Miles of Winchester; ten grandchildren, Joshua White, Chris (Alecia) Greer, Joel (Terri) White, Tabatha Greer, Ashley Tuttle, Whitney Tuttle, Matthew Tuttle, Tyler Miles, Courtney Miles and Rebekah Miles; ten great grandchildren Makala, Ryan, Whitley, Zoey, Kayden, Brantley, Mayson, Jackson, Willie and Sophia; two sisters Betty Crawford, Winchester, and Margaret (Wendell) Cole, Summerfield, Florida; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Gale graduated from Clark County High School in 1960. As a teenager she worked at Kress Five and Dime and Jack and Jill's. She met Clem in 1958 and they were married May 22, 1961. They celebrated their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary before her passing. Once she and Clem started a family, she chose to raise her daughters by blessing them with her strength and hard work ethic to ensure that her family was never in need. She canned vegetables from the garden, sewed clothes for her children, made many family meals and crocheted a number of afghans and baby blankets. She also managed to make the most of everything she had or bought. She would prepare for family camping trips so that weekend state park visits and vacations were fun for the whole family. After her children were in school, she worked at Conkwright Junior High in the cafeteria, then began her career at the Lexington-Bluegrass Army Depot in various organizations from 1982 until retiring in 1993. She was resilient, persistent and determined throughout her life and passed those qualities on to her four daughters. She was the matriarch of her family and will be greatly missed.

Pallbearers will be Josh White, Joel White, Matthew Tuttle, Tyler Miles and Walter Hackworth of Winchester and Chris Greer of Nashville. Honorary pallbearers will be Marc Devers - Indianapolis, Chris Miles and Mike Crawford - Winchester, John Miner – Cadyville, New York, Wendell Cole and Bobby Faulkner - Summerfield, Florida and Tom Ellis, Tampa, Florida.

Services will be held 10:00AM, Friday, July 22, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will be 6:00 until 9:00 PM on Thursday at Scobee Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Clarmont Memorial Gardens on Mount Sterling Road.
