Carol Jean Ganoe, daughter of Carl Allbee and Florence Siefert Albee, was born August 28, 1939 in Britt, Iowa and died July 10, 2016 in Jefferson, Iowa at the age of 76. Carol attended school in the area.
She met Donald Dean Ganoe at Arnolds Park and on October 10, 1958, they were united in marriage at the Baptist Church in Jefferson, Iowa. They were the proud parents of three sons: Rich, Ron and Tommy.
They lived on a farm in rural Greene County before moving to their present home in 1968. Carol loved her horses especially her Budweiser Clysdale, cats, dogs and birds. She was a big fan of T.V especially the weather news. Carol raised puppies. She loved to read anything on comics, Roy Rogers, Gene Autry and John Wayne. In her younger years Carol barrel raced. She enjoyed going to horse shows. Carol loved puzzles, adult coloring books, crocheting and color & paint by numbers.
Cleaning her house was her mission. She always made sure to spend time with family. Having supper with Tommy on Saturday and Rich on Sunday. Carol had a horse Rusty and dog Susie which was her favorite. She liked the Pittsburgh Steelers and she also liked the horse teams. Carol's favorite holiday was Christmas, spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald Dean (2005) in laws David Ganoe, Richard and Kathryn Murphy, Wayne and Louise Brown, and Jack Lloyd
Carol is survived by her 3 sons: Rich Ganoe (Annette) of Grand Junction, IA, Ron Ganoe, and Tommy Ganoe (Tammy) both of Jefferson, IA; 4 grandchildren: Jeramy Ganoe (Julie) of Jefferson, IA Jeanette Stoffa (Aaron) of Grand Junction, IA, Jamie Ganoe (Brenda) of Jefferson, IA and Emily (Josh) Fisher of Jefferson, IA; 7 great-grandchildren: Saleen Ganoe, Lacey Ganoe, Shelby Stoffa, Sara Stoffa, Carter Ganoe, Cole Ganoe and Jayden Fisher; brother Carl Allbee Jr. of Grand Junction, IA; sisters-in-law: Martha Ganoe and Mary Ellen Lloyd and brother-in-law LaVerne Ganoe (Doris), many nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
