She was born January 22, 1914 in Caldwell County to the late Will Roberts and the late Ida Maltba Roberts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Harley Walker and four sisters.
Mrs. Walker was retired from the textile industry and was a member of College Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Gary H. Walker and his wife Becky of Granite Falls and Thomas Glen Walker of Woodridge, Illinois; a daughter, Elizabeth Hunt and her husband, Ray of Granite Falls. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 9th at 3:00 p.m. at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Terry Messer officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Gary Walker, 5 Ridge Drive (Granada Farms), Granite Falls.
