Salem - From the day he was born, Alex Armes knew exactly who he was and let his personality shine bright. He was a beautiful soul who packed a lifetime of fun into the time he was here, and we were lucky to be along for the ride.
If you spent any time in his presence, he would make you laugh and you would know his heart. Bringing love and happiness to everyone he met, Alex was able to find something precious in all.
We will miss his Alex-ness.
Visitation will be today, from 1pm to 4pm at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service. A celebration of life will be held Sunday July 24th at 2pm at 1683 Mountain Dr., Stayton, Oregon 97383.

Police are still looking for the vehicle that struck and killed a pedestrian on Liberty Street SE early Wednesday morning but were able to identify the victim as a Salem teen.
Police discovered the body of Alex C. Armes, 18, lying in the middle of the road near Liberty and Lincoln streets shortly after 3 a.m., said Lt. Dave Okada, a Salem police spokesman.
Officers determined he had been struck by a vehicle, which then fled the scene.
