Etta "Vernice" Watson, 90, of Altus, Oklahoma passed away Friday, July 15, 2016.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 1016 at First Assembly of God Church in Wichita Falls with Pastor Bob Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Vernice was born on July 8, 1926 in Ennis, Texas to the late Harvey D. and Bessie Mae (Mayberry) Smith. She was a homemaker, and a member of First Assembly of God Church in Wichita Falls. Vernice loved being active in the church, and loved spending time with her daughter, and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Thomas; and a brother, H.B. Smith.

She is survived by daughter Judy and husband Reverend Brad Cosway of Altus; grandchildren Noel, Seth, and Jacob Cosway of Altus; and a sister, Myrlene Allred of Wichita Falls.
