Heart attack is fatal to Richard Felker

Richard E. Felker suffered a fatal heart attack at his residence in Duck Hill Sunday night, October 25. Services were held October 28 from the Palestine Methodist Church in Tishomingo County with Rev. Harris Counce of Grenada officiating.

Mr. Felker was born in Paden, March 4, 1895 and was married to the former Miss Eva Martin, who survives.

Other survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Tillman Mitchell of Duck Hill, Mrs. Bill Swain, Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Lester Blakely, Grenada, Mrs. Clyde Blair of Columbus; five sons, Chism Felker, Portland Oregon, Hugh Felker, New Orleans, Louisiana, J. L. Felker, Edinburgh, Pennsylvania, Sgt. Paul Felker, Fort Knox, Kentucky and Lee Felker of Grenada; three sisters, Mrs. L. A. Stickland, Mrs. Ernestine Russell and Mrs. Tommy Crowell all of Tishomingo; three brothers, Charley Felker, Grenada. W. A. Felker, Osyka, Miss, and Tom Felker of Boulder Creek, California: 29 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Active pallbearers were John D. Felker, Charles Felker Merle Tennyson, Norman Gortney, Ellis Ray Strickland and Buddy Russell.

Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
