Joel Austin Baker, 27, went to be with his Lord on July 17, 2016. Joel had a heart full of love. He loved people and wanted them all to know the Jesus who had changed his life. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, but, his newest love was for his baby daughter, Camryn, whom he was totally devoted to. Joel will be tremendously missed by all who loved him dearly. Joel was a hard worker who loved to care for his daughter, spend time with his family and friends and cook for those he loved. May he rest in peace in the presence of his Lord and Savior until the time that we all can be together again.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 21st at 11AM at the Rankin Funeral Home in Salem, with Claude Howell officiating. Burial will follow at the Iuka Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 5-8:00PM on Wednesday at the Rankin Funeral Home in Salem. Memorial contributions to honor Joel's memory may be made to the Camryn Eliana Baker Education fund and will be accepted by the funeral home.

Baker, Jr. and significant other Andrea of Carlyle; sister, Laura Baker and fiance Tyler Sheathelm of Carlyle; nephew, Conner Newkirk and nieces Cidney and Laney Baker whom he loved and adored; and grandparents Dale and Peggy Lagow of Iuka and Francis and Lottie Baker of Summerfield, Florida.
