Cynthia Butler, 64, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016. Mrs. Butler, daughter of deceased Charles and Barbara Vedral, was a native of Lakehurst, New Jersey and had moved to Jacksonville in 1968.

Cynthia retired in 2010 as a registered nurse in the NICU department at Orange Park Medical Center and was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Survivors include her loving husband of 43 years, Steve; one son, Jon Butler; one daughter, Bridget (Eric) Rutledge; two sisters, Barbara (Lew) Guerin and CAPT. Jennifer (John) Vedral-Baron; one brother, Charles Vedral; three Grandchildren, Parker, Avery and Brady Rutledge; other loving family and dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 20, with Fr. Dan Cody, Celebrant, in St. Joseph's Historic Church, 4214 Loretto Road. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday (Today) at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue.
