BRUNSWICK – Virginia A. (Strang) Casey, 88, died on Sunday, July 17th 2016 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.
Born in South Troy on June 17th 1928, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Witmann Strang.
Virginia was a graduate of St. Lawrence Grammar School and Catholic Central High School, class of 1946.
She was employed by the NYS Dept. of Health as a laboratory technician for two years before raising her family and becoming a homemaker.
She resided in South Troy for many years before moving to Brunswick in 1966.
Virginia was an avid reader and enjoyed her visits to the Troy Public Library.
She loved animals and dogs, walking in her neighborhood and family parties where she baked and cooked.
She is the beloved and devoted wife of 65 years of Cornelius “Con” J. Casey.
Arrangements by the Doran Funeral Home, 9 South Lake Avenue in Troy.
Interment will follow in the Gerald BH Solomon Cemetery in Schuylerville at 1 pm.
