Dorothy was born on March 12, 1923 on the family farm in Hewitt to Martin and Leola (Buckholz) Denny. Dorothy was united in marriage to Leo Neuerburg on November 23, 1940 in Waterloo, Iowa. She was a homemaker and had her hands joyfully full raising their eight vvvvf (very, very, very, very favorite) children.
Dorothy was an avid reader and enjoyed baking, knitting, crocheting and gardening. She was always up for a hand of cards or a game of bingo, and enjoyed as much time with her vvvvf (very, very, very, very favorite) grandkids as possible. Dorothy was a member of the Wadena VFW Auxiliary and the ladies aid at St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo; her parents, Martin and Leola; sons-in-law, Dan Lorentz and Mike Walz; brothers, Philip, Robert and Clifford “Bud” Denny; sisters, Edna, Agnes and Mabel; and great-granddaughter, Jane Fiemeyer.
Dorothy will be lovingly missed by her children, Jim (Sharon) of Perham, Robert (Marilyn) of Verndale, Mark (Patty) of Northfield, Jerry (Lori) of Osage, Glenda (Ray) Uselman of Wadena, Kathy (Mike) Kust of South Haven, Pat Lorentz of Wadena, and Barb (Dave) Rousslang of Wadena; brother, Herb (Trudy) Neuerburg; sisters, Marie Willan and Vivian Neuerburg; 31 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Teri Simmons, Kris Reineccius, Scott Walz, Jason Neuerburg, Jil Fiemeyer, Val Ness, Jessica Fouquette and Jeremy Neuerburg.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Wadena, MN.
